MCP Allele server
What is it?
The Allele server helps you find available research materials (products) created by IMPC. When IMPC knocks out a gene in a mouse, it creates various products along the way — from the initial gene design to the final mouse line. This server lets you find out what is available for a gene of interest.
What kinds of products can you find?
- Allele information: Details about specific alleles for a gene, including what products are available
- Mouse lines (mice): Live mouse lines available for ordering, including genetic background and production centre
- CRISPR products: CRISPR-engineered alleles with details about guide RNAs, mutations, and sequences
- ES cell clones: Embryonic stem cell clones with cassette and pipeline information
- Targeting vectors: DNA constructs designed to target specific genes
- Intermediate vectors: Precursor constructs used in the gene targeting pipeline
- Gene designs (HTGT): High Throughput Gene Targeting designs with genomic coordinates
Example questions you can ask
- “What alleles exist for MGI:104874?”
- “Show me CRISPR products for the Akt2 gene.”
- “What mice are available for Bmp4?”
- “Are there any ES cell clones for Pax6?”
- “Find targeting vectors for gene MGI:2441854.”
- “What mouse lines can I order for Notch1?”
- “Show me the allele details and available products for Mecp2.”
- “Is there a CRISPR mouse model for Arid1b?”
What to expect in responses
Depending on the product type, you will get details such as allele names, genetic backgrounds, production centres, ordering information, cassette details, guide RNA sequences, and mutation descriptions. The AI will present this in a readable format.
